styrene discoveries
Good day in the cheapie shops today- found this great Burrick (complete kit) for pennies. It is based on the old AMT annual and has plenty of custom parts and four Firestones. I was just recently thinking I needed more Buick element in my styrene garage- Mr. Red PrimerDamn if the same place didn't also have this twenty six henry for a very reasonably low amount. Very random to get two solid 1/25th scale plastic auto kits from one junkshop- oops only gots one tyre: wouldn't build it boxstock anyways, it is a variation on an old seventies Revell T kit- I will put large skinnies on it with steel rims. Those LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGG pillars are begging for a severe chopjob- or not: stay tuned right here...
This is a cool ass import-Richie Rich sniffed this one out of the stacks recently. Molded in cool colors and highly detailed, the wire rims are incredible. Clean one...
Another Richie Rich selection, it is a killin show roadster featuring a heavy Egyptian theme over a classic sixties drag roadster chassis. This crazy thing is molded in glow-in-the-dark, clear and plated styrene and is begging to be built. Painting it seems a shame, the glow needs to shine out in the night!
Found another "import" today, a little beat up after a botched start by some modelling imbecile but still quite buildable. This could go in a post modern diorama too...Maybe one of you needs it for your own stable of plastic rides. The point is that despite many browsing trips that have turned up nothing, these five pieces were sitting there to encourage a red primer type of greasy hot rodder like me!! These blog posts are aimed at fellow modellers, who frequent the site. However only Russian and Ukrainian spam cuties comment, crowding the cbox with "blogwalking" and "luv yer blog"-
Anyhow if you love old fashion hot rods and styrene models, say hey or send me photos of some of your creations- rock nroll sputnik kind of stuff, sixties stockers, cut down roadsters, cool imports, musclecars, rockaboogie tattoo rattrash, purist restorations- Doesn't matter one bit! Lemme see em- In the mean time, here's that dang Little Red Wagon kit all primered up and ready for final paint, assembly and weathering- gonna be a bad one...Mr. Red Primer
