Here's the '25 turtleback T from that AMT double T kit in a very rough mock up. That Lincoln mill needs a couple layers of grease on it-heck, the whole thang does...Emil looked at me like I was gonna try and whore his wife out when I told him the double T kit gives you almost enough parts to make three cars- he will eat his hat when he sees this jalopy truck that was stretccchhhheddd out with some Model A parts and those damn Kubelwagen rims and tires- a few layers of funk on this thing and it will really have a look going- Mr. Red Primer

1936 FORD i

Been needing a 'thirtysix for quite a while, this one is a cool kit with tons of extra parts. I put a first coat of self etching primer that adds great imperfections for a ratty type of rod, and used the custom nose so fools will say "is that a '36?" This one will fit right in with my dirty roadsters- stay tuned for more- Mr. Red Primer

manx dune buggy i

Really have a softspot for VWs since I learned to drive on a 1972 Super Beetle, and growing up in 60s/70s So Cal, we saw a lot of fiberglass body dune buggies. You 7 big-nose Frenchmen who never comment on this blog will not even have a clue what the fugg I'm talking about. Saw this Manx up in Skyway the other day and had to have it- it's gonna go nicely with my Kubelwagen and baja bugs. Here is the first mockup-Mr. Red Primer

WILLYS 1

Hard to find a stock Willys kit or at least one without a hole in the hood- I love highboy straightaxle gassers as much as most hot rod fans do but this one has a more stock feel going. Rear axle from Rommel's Rod sitting on leaf springs from a Revell Ford sit in the frame along with the kit's Hemi block. Bench seat was added back in with a stock steering wheel from that 1959 Ford,and the thing will sit on wide white walls from th3 1936 Ford kit (neat one)- Mister Red Primer





Vintage hood done in orange enamel was parts car bonus a while back in Skyway- random!! Gasser shots below feature the Willys sitting on a model A frame for kicks

This one has been lurking on the shelves up at Skyway for months and I knew I would end up taking it home sooner or later. It's one of those clunky 1/24th Tom Daniels vantasies that has a few weird parts but a neat body to mess with- as usual I chose to de-Seventies the thing with some steel wheels and wide whitewalls. Not sure I ever built this one as a youth on Oakshire Drive, but I know I built the Ice T, the Red Baron, the Beer Wagon, the Paddy Wagon and godknows what else.



This bottom shot shows how the kit's big-and-little mags and tires were replaced with parts box utilitarian pieces, evening out the stance a little-Mr Red Primer
