BADNEWS Chiv II (pretty in gray II)
There's that 1/24 scale monster from the seventies again with a coat of primer and a coat of gray enamel on her this time. This Biscayne wagon or mega Impala or whatever is sits nice on those wide whites: are those from a Monogram Chebby parts kit I dug up at Emils a few years ago...??Steel rims from ?? but It may not need em: those shadowy black rims are ok so far. Gonna add the Bad News decals just for kicks and some weathering-hope you're having summer fun already- Mr. Red Primer 2013
Jimmy chassy with Chevy body
Keeping it in the family, this mockup session places a sixties Chivrolet cab on those GMC four by four rails. Look forward to seeing this cab finished on its own huge oversize chassis in a future post- Warm regards: Mr. Red Primer 2013
1940 Ford One Ton - Part II

Scout II
Selection in the thrifty stores has been bleak lately. Prices are often the same or more than retail for goods that are quite often damaged or offbrand. Saw some graffiti in one Badwill bathroom that said "OK I got my lip pierced! Now I can work at Value Villians!" Imagine my surprise when this Scout kit jumped off the shelf at me! It was complete and unscathed, and you just don't see these too much in general. Years ago our Toyota Land Cruiser was stolen from the street in front of our Hollywood home in the seventies and we replaced it with a Scout I. My affection for Internationals is sentimental. This is a rudimentary kit, crude even, but it will build nicely into an offroad bruiser. MR. RED PRIMER

'seventy dodge challenger II
Finally got most of the paint and nail polish off this botched Badwill find.
Many many coats of EzOfff took it down to almost bare purple styrene, revealing the first builder's expert putty work on the spoiler.
Nothing like a little gray primer to pull things together.
This one will look good next to my many other 1970 builds.
Any of you goofy basement dwellers have ideas about what color to paint this thing?
This car is from the era when you might drink beer in your car, not wearing a seatbelt and waiting for the eight track to fade back in with part two of the main song on the tape. Hand that feathered alligator clip back to Craig in the backseat, man......................

1940 high boy Ford Truck - First Mockup
Here's this pesky forty high boy for all you truckers and pickup freaks, and the rest of ya- well heck! It is a Revell forty cab sitting on seventies GMC rails with dualies. There was liberal use of EZ Offz and much trimming of styrene. With the right paint and accessories it's really gonna be a mofoe.A coat of primer is going on next time the rain lets up-that will draw out the details. The 1940 chassis was earmarked for a Jimby Flinstone Ford Sedan project, and now there's an extra Revell flathead kicking around in the jalopy parts box-Mr. Red PrimerMERRY XMAS EVERYBODY
