'56 Chevy Gasser

Here is a final assembly of the Stalag 13 Hemi Chevy Hiboy- Pardon the lint but it is very close to done. Finishing touches will render it unforgettable.
The hiboy chassis is actually a 4WD piece from a parts kit featuring the Dodge Hemi from AMT's Dart kit's drag option...This combination of parts has been marinating for a few years and has culminated in STALAG 13.
These last couple of shots show the Lindberg '55 convertible body in tan sitting on the hiboy chassis.

...got this cheapy up in Skyway while Emil was "out on errands"...it's a clean Lindberg issue of a classic subject which I will be building as a highboy gasser. The assembly has already began, and the stock steelies and Firestones have been set aside and replaced with pie crust slicks, some other skinny fronts and Cragar mags.
...below are some shots comparing the '40 Ford and '41 Willys coupes:

mid century roadster - Lucky#13

Here is Lucky #13, the mid-century roadster. This is my attempt at a 1960-or-so California Show bucket A. Discerning modellers will notice obvious parts, and purists will discuss it's details, but I have expressed myself with a period piece inspired by the golden era of hot rodding.
Body and chassis: AMT Ala Kart parts from Model A kit / Engine: 409 from AMT '64 Impala / Tires & rims: AMT '57 Chrysler 300C / Steering wheel- Monogram '56 Chevy / Chest; generic pirate toy / Radiator & shell: Revell Model A / Front axle: AMT Model T Switchers kit /

paddy wagon i

Pretty sure I built this as a young man on Oakshire Drive in seventies LA- those Tom Daniels style 1/24th scale customs were flashy and appealing to young modellers. I had tons of them as I mentioned, like the Red Baron. I had a funny feeling to check the "As Is" section up in Skyway, and Emil was kind enough to part with this for a low price. It is tempting to resell it since it's complete and only partially ruined by the bonehead who started building the thing years ago, but I am gonna put it together, probably as a roadster era truck with different rims etc. The body, the fenders and benches and some of the details are great looking. I remember liking the retro cop helmet when I first had the thing years ago-Mr Red Primer
