1938 Ford Truck

Revell's 1937-38 Ford Pickup kit is a modeler's dream. It not only contains options for '37 or '38 grilles, there are two complete sets of axles and suspension, and two sets of quality skinny tires and vintage steel rims. Revell was infamous for years for their terrible two-piece tires that needed to be cemented together (always looked bad) but in recent years their tires are excellent. I decided to go with the oddball 1938 grille and build the thing as a hauling truck with a ratty homemade bed on the back. When it is painted and weathered, you will see it here again.Here's a mockup of the 1937 front- I'm gonna get another one of these and do it as a '37:
